Iron Blight's official patch notes name Gora, Kuvalda, Spitter, Tank, Headless Mutant, zombies, and other mutants, but they do not publish a complete stat table or a reliable weakness chart. Use this page as a current-build behavior guide: keep a route out, use cover and line of sight, and spend ammunition only when a threat blocks progress or a safe retreat is gone.

Confirmed enemy behavior at a glance

Enemy or groupOfficially confirmed factSafer current-build response
SpitterPatch 1.03 says heavy damage now more consistently ends its spitting attack.Break sight lines first; do not stand exposed trying to force the behavior.
Headless MutantPatch 1.02 reduced sound reactivity and base health.Treat launch-era sound advice as stale; confirm the threat is dealt with before looting.
KuvaldaPatch 1.01 changed alertness behavior and slowed its roar animation.Preserve space and a retreat path instead of relying on old timing clips.
GoraPatch 1.01 fixed looping alert music; Steam has a Gora-kill achievement.Make a recovery save before a named encounter if an achievement attempt matters.
TankPatch 1.04 fixed defeated Tanks incorrectly respawning. On an up-to-date build, report a repeat encounter with area and version rather than assuming it is intended.
Zombies and other mutantsPatch 1.02 says mutants eventually lose interest; Patch 1.04 added line-of-sight checks for melee attacks.Use distance, doors, corners, and a clean exit; do not count on contact through scenery.

Universal survival rules

  1. Choose escape before damage. A weapon is most valuable when it opens a route; firing into an optional encounter can use ammunition and draw attention without advancing the objective.
  2. Crouch when repositioning. Patch 1.04 removed player footstep sounds while crouching. It is a positioning advantage, not proof that every enemy is unaware.
  3. Reload in safety. Check the magazine, ready the weapon, then enter the next space. Manual reload work belongs before the encounter, not during it.
  4. Recheck a downed target before looting. Early fixes addressed zombies appearing to stand back up and unusual mutant death states. Give yourself room before committing to a close interaction.
  5. Keep a pre-encounter save for a named enemy. This is especially useful for the Gora and Kuvalda achievement requirements in the achievement checklist.

What the patch notes changed

Enemy advice from launch recordings needs version context. Patch 1.02 changed Headless Mutant sound reactivity, base health, enemy navigation, and the period after which mutants lose interest. Patch 1.03 changed Spitter behavior after heavy damage and addressed attacks during calm or fleeing transitions. Patch 1.04 added melee line-of-sight checks and fixed several factory, dock, door, and respawn issues.

That means this wiki does not turn a patch note into a numeric damage, range, spawn, or weakness claim. If you find a reproducible behavior on Patch 1.04, record the map area, objective, enemy, and game version before treating it as a reliable tactic.

Match your loadout to the next area

Carry one checked primary firearm, a compact fallback if its ammunition is compatible, healing, and the current route item. The weapons guide covers route order and manual-reload planning; the inventory guide helps make space without discarding a key tool. For a problem in a specific campaign section, use the full walkthrough or the relevant location guide.

Evidence boundary

This is a behavior-and-survival hub, not a fabricated bestiary. Enemy names and changed behaviors come from official Steam announcements checked on September 6, 2026. The developer has not published full health values, weak points, or a comprehensive location list, so those fields are intentionally omitted until they can be verified directly.
